Bio:
<PendingBob Databasegrew Retrieval>up in Sydney, a promising computer engineer with a fantastic aptitude for numbers and code displaying at a very young age. But growing up he never felt right in his body, bullies picked up on his insecurities and poked fun at him for every part of it they could.
As soon as he was old enough he opted for full body cyberization, getting a high performance shell built exactly to his specification, but he still didn't feel right.
Living out of a small apartment despite his exceptionally well paid role at a high tech firm most of his money was spent on upgrading, modifying or outright replacing his shell every few months.
Eventually he was headhunted by the International Space Agency, they were looking for a full body cyborg with an aptitude for everything to do with computers, robotics and AI. He accepted almost immediately and packed to move to the Lunar Base.
Shiny new ISA passport in his bag, the launch and flight to the Moon had him exceptionally giddy, but he started to worry, his propensity for body hopping would be somewhat stifled where he was moving to with readily accessible parts for "vanity projects" harder to come by. This thought sat heavy in his mind for the first month of his employment as the "Systems Conductor" for the ISA's Central Computing Team. Ensuring that all the AI and Robots were all coordinating correctly, dancing their elegant dance. He loved every second but... he needed a new body. This one was starting to feel really wrong.
Finally he couldn't stand it anymore and marched into his supervisor's office resignation in hand, he had to return to the planet to refit, and he needed to be able to do it regularly.
His boss sat him down and smiled softly, the ISA didn't want to lose him, but sending him back to Earth for a few weeks every time he had a wave of dysphoria was untenable as well.
They spoke for a few hours about it, it eventually came out that he'd never seen anyone about his condition, and his boss suggested he did. Reluctant at first he then agreed, his boss was right, why throw away the career of a lifetime instead of trying to find a solution.
The psychiatrist he was assigned turned out to be an expert in dysphoria, she herself sporting a rather fetching highly specified cybernetic shell. They spoke at length about it, trying to figure out what it was he was unhappy with, when it finally dawned on him what it was both of them were unsure how to proceed.
It wasn't that he hated his body, or his appearance, gender, species, cybernetics, no. He hated havingĀ a body, full stop!
The two of them spoke to his boss about it and a recommendation was made, he needed to be able to keep body hopping.
His boss suggested something else, something that his superiors had been discussing for a while, but they needed someone to enthusiastically volunteer before they proceeded.
They wanted an organic systems coordinator that was connected directly into the Central Computer Core, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. They wanted a "Brain in a Box", and they wanted to do it ethically.
Bob didn't need much time to think about it, he practically leapt from his seat and asked when the procedure could be completed.

Bob has been happily living out of the Central Computer Core for nearly a decade now, he loves his job, he loves not having a body to worry about, he loves being the sole Conductor for the Grand Orchestra that is the International Space Agency and their multitudes of robots, machinery, and AI.
He really wouldn't have it any other way.
He still body swaps, but in the virtual world, his presence projected holographically around ISA installations if need be. Or interacted with in VR by fellow employees. Or his many romantic partners...
